PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I took interest in the portrayal of women in theater and found four plays, each by a different playwright, portraying women in unique ways. I researched these plays and noticed critics viewing silent women in theater as unimportant and women with many lines and expressed opinions as feminist and moving. Through this research I have created an annotated bibliography and abstract, which I will later use to write a 20-30 page paper on the role of the “Silent Woman” in theater.
